Dissapointing

I've work these mittens for about 2 months now, previously having worn a $30 Costco pair with polyester insulation for a whole winter. Extremely disappointed. Way to cold/thin. Pros: - The mittens seem well built. The goretex + full leather palm look/feel nice. - Seemed fairly wind proof Cons - Way too dang cold (especially for the price). For 1/5 the price I can pick up a pair a mittens from Costco that do everything these gloves do, but warmer. I admit that I already have naturally cold hands, so keeping them warm is hard. But I don't think it's unfair to expect that a $150 pair of mittens performs better than a $30 pair. 3 minutes after going out into -20°C weather my hands would be uncomfortably cold. 4-5 minutes later and I would have to go inside. Ridiculous. - Physically very thin, feels cheap. I think it's fair to assume that the thinness contributes to the abysmal insulation properties. - Leashes get tangled easily. After just 2 months if use, the loops are twisted around a couple times with no clear way to untangle them. This does not happen with the $30 pair from Costco which also have leashes. - Leashes tighten when pulling in them. Although this may be a pro for some people who don't want their mitts to come if easily from the leash. Fair enough. But having used the $30 pair implementation,I much prefer it. The leashes are of a fixed circumference, and with a decent amount of pulling would come off. They never came off inadvertently. These mitts, in the other hand, just get together when you pull them. In theory, these mittens would be amazing, because they have some really premium materials. However, it looks like Kombi really dropped the ball and created something that is overpriced and cold.
