Postive and Negative Sides
I bought these mittens at Breathe Outdoor Online Store early January, this year (2024). I find it is well made and durable made from quality materials. I am expecting it to last long. Being tired of dominant black outer clothing, I particularity like the alternative colours available for these mittens. I got it Asphalt and like the design a lot. The mittens are rated at warmth rating of 4, the Kombi's highest rating. I find this grossly overrated. We have had very mild Winter this year. At -5C, my fingers inside the mittens quickly start getting cold if I am not using my hands. With the hype around primaloft, the new insulation material online and how warm it is. I am surprised. I have had mittens before at a fraction of the price of this one that felt warmer. I think Kombi should lower the warmth rating for these mittens so people people adjust their expectations accordingly. If I am working outside like shovelling the snows, these mittens keep my hand warm (only tested in the 0 to -10C range). Moreover, since I ordered this in size large, I can fist my hands inside the mittens to warm up my fingers if I need to . So I am keeping them for now but looking for something else for colder temperatures.
